Y62 Patrol – AAA Suspension Compressor + Mount

This is a combo kit – our large twin head CX10 Compressor with mounting bracket for all models of Y62 Patrol.

This compressor is ideal for tyres and active air suspension such as our AAA auto leveling coil delete. This is a popular upgrade for the older coil delete kit which originally came with the smaller compressor. It is 10 times faster with only a 2 second recharge time for the coil delete tank from 70 back to 100 psi. It’s also a lot less noisy and it’s way out the front so you barely hear it running.

If it helps as a comparitive – it’s the same speed under load as the ARB Twin in that they both take the same time to fill a tyre. It’s less noisy, easier to mount and more affordable. This is also priced less than the ARB Twin and yet it comes with all the bits to fit to Y62.

The unit mounts behind the grill and sits vertically beside the LH headlight. It does not impact air flow at all because it is over to the side and not directly in front of the radiator. The mount uses pre existing holes so there is no drilling or modifications to the vehicle. It sits below the cover between grill and radiator – a few pics show that cover removed so you can see the compressor. It’s virtually invisible once the cover goes back on.

It is not inside the car and it is not noisy.

Suits standard vehicles as well as those with bull bars and winches as the unit sits above the bumper bar line.

The compressor is water proof and will run under water so long as the air intake is dry – The kit re-routes the intake to a remote filter with its own mount to back corner of passenger side of engine bar – near the ECU. You can do your own custom work here if you prefer the intake to go into air box or snorkel or from inside the car – talking to a lot of owners there are a lot of great ideas but we have never had an issue with rear top corner of engine bay.

The kit also has a female Nitto air fitting with mounting bracket for tyre inflation hose. This mounts where we used to mount our small coil delete compressor behind the LH headlight next to the air box. We also sell the tyre inflation hose with chuck if you need that.

The compressor comes with a wiring harness with relay and fuse. It also has a pressure switch which goes on the maifold for the Nitto fitting. All you need to do is run a trigger wire from a switch of your choice via the pressure switch to activate the harness and turn the compressor on.
