LA82 Airbag Kit

This is a brand new air bag load assist kit to suit the rear of the following vehicles:
Chevrolet Silverado 2500 – 2020 Onwards

The bags replace the bump stops and mount to the chassis via the factory bump stop mount. The lower bracket clamps onto the strike block on the axle housing. Note we do not use hooks that resemble tent pegs like other brands – this is a man size truck and deserves a man size kit robust and strong ready for lots of hard work.

For standard height applications this kit comes with our double bag. If you have a 2″ lift or greater we supply the taller triple bag variant – the brackets are same. If your vehicle has a 2″ lift or greater, please select the “lifted” option to be supplied with taller airbags.

In regular form you would mount the air line valves somewhere convenient – we supply a mounting bracket that suits most trailer plug mounts.

By selecting an “In-Cab Kit”, you will also be supplied with all the gear required to control the air in your bags from the inside of your vehicle. You can option for us to supply a compressor for you too if you do not already have one installed. Our small single-head compressor is suited to inflating air bags, whilst our large twin-head compressor is also capable of inflating tyres.

Pair your large in-cab kit with one of our air tanks if you wish to increase the capacity of your onboard air system. Running a tank means the compressor can run in advance and be ready to pump tyres faster. There is no huge gain in pumping air bags with a tank except they inflate super fast. Please note that the small compressor is not suited to pumping tyres or large tanks, that’s a job for our larger compressor.

Option your kit with our Tyre Inflation Kit to suit your In-Cab Kit. Included in this is an tyre inflation hose with tyre chuck, air line to connect it to the compressor and a selection fo fittings. Additionally, we can also option a Tank Fitting Kit which includes a pressure relief valve to prevent over-pressuring the tank, a water drain valve, a nitto fitting and other connections.

The AAA leaf assist air bag kit replaces your bump stops and effectively becomes a bump stop conversion that can help you carry a load. When unloaded you want some air in the bags (10-15 psi) so you have some cushion or softness in the new bump stop effect. Then as you load up just add more air – what ever it takes to keep the vehicle level.  The AAA kit is rated at 2.5t so that’s the bags being capable of lifting 2.5t of additional weight over the rear axle. Your real limit is your GVM and what’s safe and sensible, but know the bags are up for what ever your load might be.

The rubber in the bags is heavier than the rubber in the sidewalls of your tyres so they last for ever seeing there is no rubbing or moving parts as such. AAA kits come with a 10 year new for old warranty on all bags, brackets, airlines and valves.
